COUPLET
Definition :
a pair of lines of meter in poetry.
Example :
I have two cats, one mean one nice.
They chased some mice.
Significance :
Couplet is a type of poetry. Couplets could sometimes be complex in rhyme scheme. For example, Shakespearean sonnets end with a couplet.
